'MST leader in Pontal do Paranapanema (São Paulo). Stood out along with other militants for exposing the greatest falsifying of land documents in the state of São Paulo. From the beginning of MST work in Pontal, the Sem Terra have succeeded in establishing 55 settlements in the region' (Fernandes, Bernardo Mançano e Stedile, João Pedro.
