'Considered the world’s greatest living documentary photographer. Brazilian by birth, he travels the world doing photographic reporting. In 1996, he documented the situation of the Sem Terra in Brazil. The following year, he organized an international exhibition of his pictures, which include posters, a documentary book, with texts by the Portuguese writer José Saramago, and a record with songs on agrarian reform by Chico Buarque de Hollanda. The exhibition took place simultaneously during the month of May in 40 countries and in more than 100 Brazilian cities, achieving absolute success' (Fernandes, Bernardo Mançano e Stedile, João Pedro.
