Souza, Diolinda Alves de
'MST leader in the region of Pontal do Paranapanema (São Paulo), she was arrested, along with Márcio de Souza, in April, 1995, and accused of involvement in land conflicts. Four other leaders were accused in the same legal action' (Fernandes, Bernardo Mançano e Stedile, João Pedro. Brava gente: a trajetória do MST e a luta pela terra no Brasil. São Paulo: Editora Fundação Perseu Abramo, 1999, p. 66, n. 3).
